This new HAM aired on Wednesday night. It’s a half hour show that gives you a peep inside the life of a self proclaimed red neck family. The “star”of the show is 6 year old Alana who appeared on several episodes of TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras. During one of the pageants her mom (June) encourages the girl to drink “go go juice” to give her energy. People all over began to criticize and since any publicity is good publicity, Alana and June made their rounds to major news outlets and talk shows defending her actions. The concoction of Red Bull and Mountain Dew was dubbed ” pageant crack” by some critics.Doesn’t matter if we agree or disagree the controversy helped the Shannon family land their own reality show If you can get past the belly flopping in mud, bobbing for raw pigs feet and random farting, then this may be your new favorite guilt pleasure. Alana is a little to grown for my taste and it appears as though no one steps in to correct her while she rolls her neck and makes remarks such as:

“I’ll holler for a dollar.”
“You better red(neck)ognize”

exposing her belly and gathering the extra meat to mimic a puppet and make her stomach talk.Alana’s family consists of 2 older sisters and her mom and dad. June Shannon is 32 years old and her 17 years old daughter is expecting a baby within the next few months. Basically when someone tells you that things in your life could be worse, they’re referring to the Shannon family. See full episodes 1 and 2 below.
